Warwick Military Heritage Trail

Warwick is steeped in military history.

The county town of Warwick is steeped in military history. The town and the wider county have firmly established itself as a place that celebrates and commemorates its military heritage.

Working in partnership with the town’s museums, venues, volunteers, Town Council and Warwick District Council a Military Heritage Trail has been created that provides you with eight exciting and educating locations to visit in Warwick, charting the history of the Regiments that made their home here and honouring the men and women that gave their all for their country – giving you the chance to walk in the footsteps of those who came before.

Venues include The Fusilier Museum Warwick, The Lord Leycester, The Museum of The Queen’s Royal Hussars, St Mary’s Church, Warwickshire County Record Office, The Warwickshire Yeomanry Museum, Warwick War Memorial and the Commonwealth War Graves at Warwick Cemetery.

Some Museums are free with optional donations, while others require a small entry fee. All funds received go towards the important work of maintaining and future-proofing the museums for generations to come, preserving the important military history of the town.

You can pick up your free copy of the trail from the Warwick Visitor Information Centre, Jury Street, Warwick, CV34 4EW, or from one of the participating venues.
