Tour Of Britain Cycle Race

Warwickshire will welcome Britain’s biggest professional cycle race for the second successive year as the OVO Energy Tour of Britain returns

Stage six will see the world’s top teams and riders racing from Warwick town centre to the hill-top finish at Burton Dassett Country Park over a 186.5-kilometre (116-mile) route, replicating much of stage four of June’s OVO Energy Women’s Tour.

The world’s top riders will pass through the University of Warwick, Kenilworth, Meriden (home to the National Cyclists’ Memorial), Atherstone, Bedworth and Wellesbourne. Action is guaranteed on the climb of Sun Rising Hill, with the stage ends with three ascents of Burton Dassett (1.7-kilometre, 4.9% average, climb) as part of a 12-kilometre finishing circuit.
